Afro Soul-Pop Artist
Based in Galway
Having toured the world as a backing vocalist with The Waterboys and lent her vocal talent to such groups as The Hothouse Flowers, The Republic Of Loose and Tony Allen, Zeenie Summers is now ready to put herself centre-stage. Zeenie’s music is best described as an eclectic mix of West African influences framed within a modern soul/pop context through her use of groove-laiden guitars, processed synths and 808-inspired beats. Her music is informed by her shared upbringing in Nigeria, Ghana and Galway.
